… the damage done to this tiny town is horrific. With about half the population (~10,000 people) wiped out by the tsunami, it has become a ghost town.

I was only up there for a short time with some fellow bank employees and it’s something I won’t forget. Clearing and separating rubble for disposal was just one task but the task that really touched me the most was cleaning up photographs and photo albums found through the town. Photographs of family vacations, silly moments with friends, childhood and other precious moments captured through still-frame shots each with its own story to tell.
